Project Introduction
Our client, an experienced nursery school owner who also provides nursery management services, envisioned creating a high-end nursery school brand in Central London. Cowboy was chosen to bring this vision to life through our expertise in Early Learning Center design and childcare interior design.
Project Strategy
The nursery school will open in phases, beginning with a mixed-age classroom accommodating 18 children, aged 3 months to 5 years. Each playroom has a unique function designed to evolve with the school’s growth:
Soft / Active Play Area (Indoor Playground)
A dynamic space encouraging movement and creativity, with a 2.8m ceiling height due to structural constraints.
Zoned Quiet Area
A sensory environment for calm learning, reflection, and discovery.
Outdoor Garden (Outdoor Playground)
Compact yet engaging, featuring a London Tower Bridge-inspired theme, blending play with local cultural charm.
Playroom 4 – Start-up Phase:
Function: young babies Classroom
Capacity: 15 children.
Age Range:3 -12 months old.
Playroom 1
Initial Function: Shared dining space
Future Function: Mixed-age classroom for 18 children (ages 2–5)
Key Feature:
Includes a viewing window for prospective parents — designed to create an immediate “wow” impression.
Playroom 3
Future Function: Toddler activity room
Design Concept: Divided into five zones — role play, art, exploration, reading, and learning.
This room acts as a visual and physical transition between Playrooms 1 and 4, seamlessly extending into the outdoor playground.
