Client Background
Baguio City is one of the Philippines’ leading tourist destinations. After experiencing children’s activity spaces around the world, our client saw an opportunity to bring a high-end family entertainment center with a restaurant to the area—one of the first of its kind locally.
What the Client Needed
The client wanted a premium children’’s activity room with rich functions for play and learning, and a natural, non-traditional soft-packaged style.
Play functions included:
1. Core Play Equipment
– Two-story wooden treehouse
– Ball pit
– Slide
– Ball travel system (ball track system)
– Climbing wall / climbing nets
– Trampoline
– Obstacle course / physical challenge zone
– Basketball facilities
– Magnetic fishing equipment
2. Role-Play Equipment
– Role-play restaurant
– Grocery store (simulated supermarket / shop)
3. Learning Function Equipment
– Library / Reading corner (bookshelves, seating)
– Art / Drawing area (easels, worktables)
– Science & Technology area (science exploration tools)
– Woodworking area (children’s woodworking workbench and tools)
Our client especially liked the two-story wooden treehouse structure and wanted it to be the key equipment. They also provided video references for trampoline, basketball, magnetic fishing, and other functions.
Our Solution
Cowboy Group provided one-stop custom design, production, sales, transportation, and installation services.
Centering the design on a two-story treehouse, we thematically integrate and connect activity zones—trampolines, basketball, and magnetic fishing—to create a cohesive play experience. We balance structural safety, age-appropriate zoning, material quality, and cost control, while using 3D renderings to visualize the final outcome in advance, ensuring the proposal aligns with client preferences while remaining feasible and commercially appealing.
The overall theme was “Tree · Nature · Wood,” creating a premium children’s activity space without traditional soft packaging. The layout was clearly zoned into a 0–3 years safe soft zone and a 3–12 years comprehensive physical and role-play zone. We fully utilized the 4m height, no ceiling, and direct spray paint to maintain spatial openness and a natural feel. The space was also integrated with the restaurant to enhance parent-child interaction and dwell time.
Materials and Processes
The project primarily used wooden structure. Walls, floors, and ceilings could all be fixed with expansion bolts. The design emphasized natural wood grain and premium texture to fit the theme well.
