Project Introduction
This Children’s Enrichment Center Kids Play Cafe is located in Florida, USA, and is designed for children aged 0-5 years old. This Educational Indoor Play Space covers an area of 175m², the overall layout is rectangular, and the usable height is 3 meters. Client aimed to create an Children’s Enrichment Center play cafe that combines a comfortable cafe area with indoor amusement equipment for children playing. Here, parents can relax while children participate in imaginative games, exploration and adventure. The client wanted us to help her design a Children’s Enrichment Center Kids Play Cafe with diverse play methods and rich interactivity, so as to exercise the children’s physical fitness, stimulate creativity and social interaction.
Design Concept
The is a natural forest theme kids play cafe design, integrating forest, grassland, and town elements into the entire indoor playground design, creating a multifunctional, playful, and interactive Children’s Enrichment Center, which helps to stimulate children’s creativity and physical development. The indoor playground design is mainly divided into six areas: toddler area, the wooden play house & slide area, the trampoline area, the soft sensory play area, the role-playing area, and the leisure and puzzle area.
Function Partitions
1.Toddler Play Area
The toddler play area mainly features of soft sensory play games. Cartoon animal and plant environment decorations on the walls, make children feel like they are in nature. The high and low soft climbing platforms and walking mirrors train the gross motor skills of young children. The soft padding on the ground and walls protect the children during the playing. Older children can play with building blocks in another soft playing area, draw on the blackboard on the wall, and there are suitable wall puzzle games to develop children’s intelligence. The soft materials fish design slide makes the interaction between the two areas more interesting.
2.Wooden Playhouse With Slide
This wooden play house with slide has a simple and childlike appearance. It is custom designed and playable to suit children of different ages. The wooden play set had two floors, the ground floor is for role-playing, including: small kitchen, doll house, stimulate children’s creativity and imagination as well as social interaction ability. The first floor is mainly based on gym & obstacle functions, soft play challenge games, drilling nets, slides, which promote children’s physical training while also allowing them to explore the fun of playing. Multiple interesting channels provide a better interactive experience between the main body of the wooden house and other game areas.
3.Trampoline Area
The trampoline area can effectively exercise children’s physical fitness. Combined with the basketball game, it can improve the fun and exercise children’s concentration.
4.Soft Sensory Play Area
The soft sensory play area promotes children’s physical coordination, helps them explore and adapt to new environments, and trains their thinking, observation, judgment and execution abilities.
5.Role Playing Area (Pretending Play)
The role-playing area has a small supermarket, school and hospital. The cycling road naturally connects the role-playing cabins, and is equipped with a parking area. Combing the role-playing space on the ground floor of the wooden play house, allows children to fully experience the charm of different professions, and experience adult’s lifestyle
6.Leisure & Puzzle Area
The leisure & puzzle area allows children to calm down and sit at the game table to play. The wall is equipped with Lego games, small ball travel games(science game) and some other educational wall games, which can stimulate children’s infinite imagination, improve their concentration on things, and develop their intelligence and imagination.
