Project Introduction
This Educational Indoor Play Space Kids Play Cafe is located in Connecticut, a city in the northeastern United States, and is designed for children aged 0-5. This kids play cafe covers an area of 150m², the overall layout is rectangular, and the usable height is 4.2 meters. Client aimed to create an Educational Indoor Play Space Children’s Enrichment Center that combines a comfortable cafe area with indoor amusement equipment for children playing. Here, parents can relax while children participate in imaginative games, exploration and adventure. A role playing mini town with realistic and interactive elements is created for children to stimulate their creativity and social interaction skills.
Design Concept:
This Educational Indoor Play Space adopts the theme of a miniature British town role play street, integrating town elements into the design of the entire indoor playground area, creating a mini town with realistic and interactive elements for children, thereby stimulating children’s creativity and social interaction. The kids play cafe is mainly divided into four functional areas, including the main play area, traffic simulation area, leisure and puzzle area, and climbing area.
Function Partitions
The Main Playground Area
The main playground area is mainly based on role-playing elements, and the appearance of the aircraft is embellished. The inspiration of this indoor playground design comes from the cartoon “Super Wings”, making the whole wooden play set full of childishness. The wooden play house is custom designed and playable to suit children of different ages. The wooden play house is divided into two floors: the ground floor is for role-playing, including: police station, fire station, small supermarket and library. Simulating a small town to stimulate children’s creativity and imagination. The first floor is mainly based on gym & obstacle functions, soft play challenge games, drilling nets, slides. It not only promotes children’s physical training, but also allows them to explore and experience the fun of playing.
Traffic simulation area
The cycling road in the traffic simulation area surrounds the main playground area, naturally connecting the various game areas, and is equipped with a parking area as well. In addition, there are corresponding traffic signs at intersections and sidewalks. It makes people feel like they are on a real road.
Puzzle area
The leisure puzzle area allows children to calm down and sit at the game table to play. Lego games are installed on the wall to stimulate children’s infinite imagination and improve their concentration on things. The whole indoor play space helps children develop their intelligence and imagination.
